"Naawa" comes from the Hiaki (Yaqui) language, of southern Sonora, México... Meaning root— a reminder of where we come from and our deep connection to the earth...

Welcome to Naawa!

For thousands of years, cacao has been revered as more than just a drink — it is medicine, a teacher, and a bridge between worlds.

In the hands of our ancestors, cacao was a sacred elixir, shared in ceremony to awaken the heart, expand awareness, and remind us of our connection to nature and each other.

At Naawa, cacao is our inspiration. It calls us to return to our roots, to slow down, to feel deeply, and to celebrate life with presence.

We believe cacao has the power to open hearts.

And here, in this space, we invite you to experience it as more than a drink… but as a moment of connection, a ritual of belonging.

Cacao & Roots…

  • Cacao is more than an ingredient — it’s a teacher, a portal, a reminder.

It teaches us to slow down, to listen deeply, and to reconnect with our own rhythm. Through cacao, we’ve found a path to open hearts, to gather, and to share something real.

Naawa was born from this medicine — from the warmth of a cup that brings people back home to themselves.

  • Cacao’s story begins deep in the rainforests of Mesoamerica — long before it was known to the modern world.

The Olmecs, one of the earliest civilizations of this land, were the first to cultivate and drink cacao as a sacred elixir. Later, the Mayas and Aztecs embraced it as the food of the gods, calling it kakaw, and using it in their most sacred rituals.

For them, cacao wasn’t just a drink — it was a gift from the divine, a bridge between worlds. It was shared in ceremonies to open the heart, to speak truth, and to celebrate life itself. Warriors drank it for strength, lovers for passion, healers for vision.

  • Our cacao is born in the South of Mexico — regions where the air still carries the scent of rain, earth, and ancient stories.

We work closely with small, conscious producers who cultivate their cacao with care, respect, and deep knowledge passed down through generations.

Every bean we receive carries the touch of these hands — and with every purchase, we ensure fair trade, sustainability, and the continued livelihood of those who keep this sacred tradition alive.

  • Consuming cacao regularly nourishes both body and spirit:

    • Boosts energy and focus with natural theobromine

    • Supports heart health and circulation

    • Elevates mood and releases endorphins

    • Deepens emotional connection and presence

    • Opens the heart — literally and energetically

But beyond the science, cacao reminds us of joy — of feeling fully alive, creative, and grounded.

  • Each cup is an invitation to pause. Before you drink, set an intention — something you wish to feel, release, or remember.

Warm your cacao gently, stir with mindfulness, and take your first sip with gratitude.

Let it speak to you — through warmth, taste, and silence.

At Naawa, we believe that a cup of cacao can change the way you see your day… and maybe, the way you see the world.
